The black building with the "golden flame" is the Asahi Breweries building. It was designed by Phillip Starke and once a year, two men with rock climbing experience have to polish the entire golden flame with duster cloths. (I didn't make that bit up, it really is true!)

In November, the Tori-no-ichi ("Rooster fair") is held in the precincts of this shrine, where bamboo rakes decorated with good luck talismans, such as treasure boats and beckoning cats, are sold. The rakes are believed to rake in wealth.

It is said that once every hundred years, the ghostly figure of a guy wielding a digital camera appears in this polished stone tablet.
