At the Noodle PlaceAt the Noodle PlaceAt the Noodle Place

Amy, Aimee, Me, Haley (my roomate)
Yesterday we were in our classrooms. We unloaded the storage shed and rearranged the furniture. Today we painted posters, have a few more to do. The goal is to make it very bright and colorful and fun! Walked around Tokyo yesterday, then went to the hotel. Swam, got in the hot tub, then went back to a restraunt we saw - noodles and guess what - it was chinese! haha. Then got sushi from a take - out place. Have been doing things w/ all the girls from panther cubs, and 2 from day camp. My room mate will actually only be 6-10 hours away from me when I live in AZ so that'll be fun! I think I finally caught up on sleep , fell asleep at 8 last night, got up for a few mins at 10 then went back to sleep til 6:30.. amazing, i've been waking up at 5 the past few days. Not going to do much tonight, have to do some programming for next week - which is planning for the days, and are planning on waking up early to go to the fish market. Are going to try to go to Shibuya tomorrow night as well. Been looking for a sumo wrestling match, but haven't found any info on it yet - the front desk says that they wont have one til sept, but I'm determined to find one! Seems like I've been here for much longer then I have, but I think that after next week starts it'll go by fast. I'm finally able to get my way to work by myself i think - i'll find out tomorrow. subways are crowded in the morning, but not in the afternoon. its about 30 to work from the hotel - only 3 are on the subway, but its not that bad of a walk. its funny how everyone knows who we are already. they didn't even need our ids at the gate of the compound today, they get so excited when they see us walking to the gate. its japanese people that work at the compound mostly. It was funny because yesterday we left the hotel (and only 1 of us was wearing a camp shirt) and a lady started yelling camp adventure, and asked if someone was w/ us... but she isn't here this year. I think it's pretty neat how people remember

you. Aimee our director for panther cubs was here last year and everyone remembers her. They all get so excited, its really neat. The kids get big smiles on their faces when they see us, even when we're not in our uniform, just in normal clothes, they all just seem to know who we are. having a great time, can't wait for this weekend - going to a flea market, a japanese baptist church, and doing a day trip to a place i cant spell or pronounce😊. hope everyone is surviving the floods and that everyone's houses / properties are okay. will update again soon. Trying to do it at least every other day so you can know whats going on over here in japan! The weathers been cloudy mostly but hasn't rained when i've been awake and is still hot!
