Tokyo and around On the 1st September I left Vladivostok and caught the ferry to Japan. There were only 3 backpackers on board, myself, a Scot and yet another Aussie. The Japanese don't just work all their lives with the same Company. This is a memorial by Nissan for all its deceased employees.

The Kayosan area is sacred in Buddhism and thus no animals are allowed to be killed there. Many Companies actuallly build memorials to animals such as fish etc. This one however is by far the best, it was built by a sanitation company and the caption reads; Termites - rest in peace
