After a peaceful day at lake biwa (the 3rd oldest lake in the world and the largest in Japan), we decided to treat ourselves to a meal at the posh Japanese restaurant at the top of the station.

This was the first time we had eaten at a big table with loads of other people. At first it was a little strange to us to eat with people we don't know but we found it really cool and different. Although people keep to themselves it still feels sociable and enjoyable.

We had a set meal that was huge, misto soup, rice, cabbage, tonkatsu (deep fried pork), tea and sake (this was probably the nicest Japanese food we have both tried). As well they refill your cabbage and tea free of charge making it quite cheap and filling. With your bill you get some tickets to play a spinny game where you can win stuff. Although we won the booby prize of free tissues-but was still fun!

Got back in time for free sake and made some new friends so decide to get some cans and sit on the balcony for a while before bed.
