The emperor is the president of Japan. The emperor performs acts with the help of the Cabinet. The people part of the Cabinet is the Prime Minister and the 17 Ministers of State. The Cabinet watches over the Diet, which is the House of Representatives and the House of Councilors. The National Diet is the main law maker of the state.

The National Diet has the most state power and law making. The Diet passes government requests from other member. The emperor is the symbol of Japan without all the power. The emperor is advised by the Cabinet. He or she also use the National Diet.
