Dear Dave and Merry, if you are to go to Togean, I'd recommend that you fly from Makassar (there is a direct flight from Singapore to Makassar) to Ampana, and from Ampana take a speedboat to Wakai. As for the accommodation, it would depend on your purpose of visit. If you are to enjoy the beach and dive at the same time, I'd recommend Kadidiri Paradise Resort, but if you are a hardcore diver, I'd recommend you stay at Una Una Sanctum as it is nearer to the dive sites in Una Una. Otherwise, you will need to take an hour boat to reach Una Una and usually, there will be extra charges for the boat. Please also note that there is an internet connection at Kadidiri Paradise Resort (provided that there is electricity), as there is no internet connection at Fadhila Cottage Dive Center. Avoid traveling in December or towards the end of the year as the sea can be very rough and impassable. The high season is between May to end of August, I was told. If you are into macro photography, you won't get disappointed!
