Although I spent most of the day in the hotel relaxing, I did walk out with one of the other conference attendees to a mall not far from our hotel. The mall has just recently opened and in fact tomorrow is the grand opening and many of the shops are not yet completed/open. It is a very cool, modern mall which is five stories high. I love the summetry of looking up five stories of a circular pattern and have tried to capture that in a couple of my photos. In addition, even though Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim country, there were signs for Christmas everywhere, employees where Santa hats and costumes and Christmas songs playing in the background. A very interesting mix of cultures and commercialism.
