I straight away headed to Ubud once I had arrived in Bali. Well, Kuta is nice, but chaotic, and one day for Kuta is more than enough (guess Im getting really old now).

Best of Bali
Jacque Nicest part of Bali is around Kintamani in the north - all volcanoes with spectacular scenery and not too many tourists - see Lake ? (can't remember name - big volcanoe beside it) with a boat trip to Trunyan village - you can see a unique tribe(?) of Hindus. Eerie, and a bit weird but well worth the trip.
