Organic Restaurant
The Typhoon hits the organic restaurant in the middle of the rice fields! Hey everyone!
So we headed to Bali to start off our adventure! We said goodbye to Korea and set off on our journey! Everything went smoothly, had a nice flight, slept a lot and took a taxi to Ubud, a little town in the middle of Bali surrounded by rice fields and the cultural town of Bali! We went there first to meet up with two of our friends, Shawna and Katie! We stayed at a great guesthouse called Pramesti with a view of the rice fields and delicious breakfasts included in our cheap price! One thing people should know before heading off to Bali is that they don't have any contact lense solution!!! I ran out and thought that every country has it but NO! So my search had to be put off and wait until Malaysia! Our days in Ubud included a walk to an organic restaurant in the middle of the rice fields where we had to walk in lines to get to while rain clouds were coming our way...the rain clouds had a surprise for us...a few drops turned into a typhoon!!! Let me tell you, it was quite an experience to be there, under a small
The Ladies
Amy, Sophie, and Shawna pose in the narrow alleyway of our guesthouse. hut with great food and heavy rain and wind. We loved it! The food in Ubud is delicious and the desserts are even better! We were in heaven...especially when Amy and I found chewy and moist brownies! We relaxed, took walks, ate, drank, and took an indonesian cooking class! We're ready to have parties with great indonesian food...The last morning in Ubud was spent walking in the very scary Monkey Forest...I think its scary anyways. About 300 monkeys live in this forest at the end of the road and they are everywhere. So we set off for our walk in this forest and was greeted by many monkeys. They especially loved Amy so she got a surprise when one monkey climbed on her and wanted to be her friend! Amy wasn't sure about this! The monkeys here are friendly if you don't scare them or bug them and they'll leave you alone if you don't have anything on you! So Katie and I made sure our hands were wide open so the monkeys knew we had zero...haha...but then Dave got a bit jealous about Amy's new friend and he wanted a friend also...he tried to approach the monkeys so they
The Elephant Caves
The temple and holy fountains of the Elephant Caves, hidden away in the Balinese Jungle. Sadly, no elephants were found. would go on him but guess what? They didn't want to be Dave's friends! One man came to us and asked if we wanted to buy bananas so we thought, this is your chance Dave! That's the only way Dave got friends, through one banana! It started off sad but ended with a big smile! Yay for Monkey Forest!
