SEMINYAK HOTEL
View from our balcony Arrived in Bali on Sunday 14th and thought we might have a few days veging out but first afternoon caught up with Reg, Adele, Noah and Nick and Josie from over on Lembongan, they were just over for a few days so, so nice to catch up with them, had a lovely dinner at a little beach Warung on Batubelig Beach. Then went a bit more upmarket the next night with the same crew at UPaasha upstairs all you can eat BBQ...as many lobster/moreton bay bugs as you want and cheap beers til 8.00pm. After posting something on Facebook an old friend from Cabrini Hospital got in contact as she was in Bali too, so spent a lovely few days meeting up with her and her friend each day for drinks, walks, dinners and exploring places she had never been. We love coming to Bali in May as the weather is not so humid, cool breezes cool you down throughout the day and it is the quietest month for tourists...winner winner! We have been nearly all over Bali so we purely come now to catch up with friends, family and generally kick back and relax, take in the sunshine and do
POOLSIDE OUR HOTEL
Lovely oasis to come back to a lot of walking and there are always new restaurants and things to see around the area. Caught up with cousin Lou and Grahaeme a couple of times, had some lovely cocktails at Laca Laca one night and caught up to watch the footy at Nirvana another night...it is always lovely to hear what they are up to and what adventures they have been on. Grahame's sister and husband are over from Adelaide for a couple of weeks so nice to meet up with them too. We absolutely adore the variety and quality of the food in Bali it never ceases to amaze us....there are still oldies here but a lot of new ones too! John has found a new fave Taco Beach Grill...the food is so authentic and I would even say better than in Mexico..most of it has a bit of a kick to it, so I guess we will be eating there a few more times, HE LOVES his favourites, don't we know that Anne Smith!!! Our boys!!! We found a new coffeeshop when here in March and we go there most mornings for coffee and a chat with the guys, a gorgeous guy from Medan and
GREAT LITTLE HOTEL
$836 for a month not bad his partner from Brisbane own it, they actually roast the beans upstairs on a need to basis, sell coffee and machines...its a great place and the coffee is so good, we bought a couple of kilos last time we were here. Friday 26th Mark arrives for the last two weeks and Kaz, Reg, Lachy and Mariah arrive Sunday.....sooo then the real fun begins!
