Hey Fam, It's Chad. . . or as it's translated in Malayalam, JUMP! My name means jump. . .hmmm. I'm starting to miss home. . . a little : )

Every town we go to seems more and more loving and giving. We have established so many relationships here. I can't wait to share all the photos and stories. We ate at Pizza Hut last night. . . that was interesting. I want to encourage you ALL to make it to India some time in your life. It will give you a dose of first century Christianity. Much love : )

Still having fun in India. Going to a singles devo tonight, have to share my life and how I've changed. I don't exactly enjoy sharing in front of people but I'm pretty sure everyone will be encouraged.
Love, Gabby.

Hey Family! Thank you so much for all of your prayers for our trip. God has been blessing our journey every step of the way. We have just about finished our second week and while we are are all feeling tired physically, the Spirit continues to replenish and strengthen us. Two days back we had a chance to visit an old age home where we met many of our sisters in Christ. It is a home supported by HOPE and the church here in Cochin. These women's testimonies and their faith were incredibly encouraging. One of our sisters there is 87 years old and she has been bed riden now for over a year. She cant weight more than 70 lbs. and is mostly deaf, but yet when we came into her room she greeted us with a big smile that warmed all of our hearts. She then preceeded to sing us a couple of her favorite hymns 😊 It was amazing to see her pure joy and love for God! Her example will be forever imprinted on our hearts. Our trip has been filled with meeting many inspiring testmonies and lives of our family here. We love and miss you all very much! Have a great morning of worship!
Love, Collin

Hello brothers and sisters in Detroit, Ft Wayne, and GR. Tim here... Well, this being my second trip in 6 years, I can tell you there is a lot of change going on in India. I am happy to report it's cleaner (but still very dirty), less trash everywhere (but still very littered) and the air is somewhat cleaner. The air still makes the eyes burn, and I have had sneezing everyday... several of us have had irritated throats. I see new construction going on in many places, more people have 'better' jobs, but there is also a clearly widening gap on the economic scale of life... I just read last week in the India equivalent of 'newsweek', that India households give only .6% of their income to philanthropy (charity), compared to the US at 2.4% (not great), but the concern would be the eventual social unrest when you take 1.5 billion people, most of whom live in poverty, and not take care of them or help them gain access to resources. It appears to me that everything is at least twice as expensive as it was when we were here 6 years ago... most of the disciples in the churches we have visited survive on maybe 10,000 rupies a month, or less than $250 US/month. All of this points to great opportunity for the church here in India, as well as our committment to support the brothers and sisters here. The message of the Kingdom of God is powerful in its truth about sharing and providing for the needs of others, especially since so many here are unaware of that message. Pray for our brothers and sisters here to be able to take care of one another, and as some brothers and sisters here reap the economic growth, that they do not lose their first love, which is so easy to do, especially when you have come from a background of very difficult living. It is very inspiring to hear our brothers and sisters in India share their testimony.... many still suffer from witdrawal from their blood family because they made a decision to follow Christ. You will be proud of the team you sent in every way.

Love

Hi Team- SOOOOOO proud of you making it through week 2. Please don't lose your enthusiasm these last days, even though I know you are tired! You are making a huge difference there, and will be remembered. Be sure to soak it all in so you can remind all of us back home how important it is to remember the poor, and take the gospel to the lost. You are amazing! Coimbatore will treat you well--- I loved that city. Have a great time there. We'll see you in a week! Love you all, miss you Debbie. love, Jen
