After a swim
White sands, blue skies, a garden of colourful corals that can be seen from your aeroplane window...who needs a snorkle set... that's the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
What i offer is another part of the Andamans...the lush green, guarded by corridors of mangroves, visited by strange sounding birds which glimmer and shine when they turn or fly, and peace.
My place is a 40-acre island on which i grow 100% organic spices (clove, Black pepper, Nut Meg, Cinnamon & curry leaves), arecanuts, coconuts and fruits (Chiku, Oranges, Papayas, Bananas, Jackfruits and custard apple). And although farmers never make profits from their produce, they always come with big fancy farm houses and plenty of camping site. I'm one of those. Two hammocks, an easy chair and a kitchen does it all for me.
BUT, and that's a big but so pay attention, There's no white sandy beach encrusting my farm. It's more of and adventure or eco tourists' thing rather than the honeymooner or luxury tourists. There's no electricity, one doesn't need it...in cities it gets exceptionally dark because the light of the moon and the stars finds it difficult to reflect off tar roads and sqeeze through concrete corridors to reach

you. But out here, in the open, the sea reflects the star light into tiny spotlights. Sometimes the light of the moon is so great make shadows on the wall to amuse myself.
It's a very raw campers' sort of place. Please don't expect refrigerators or televisions. Don't expect anything. Create it. If you want hot water showers heat the water on a stove and bathe in it - that's what i do...or i just dive off the jetty, have a ten minute swim and then bathe. No one'll stop you or deprive you of anything here except skinny-dips and fornicating with the workers... or offering them porn, drugs and instigating them to start a revolution against some imaginary dictator etc.
Oh well, more tomorrow then.

wood
tanasu you forgot to add that people can carry around firewood and ask other people if they want to touch it. That by far is the BEST activity.

wood
AHEM!!! Rule no. whatever: You cannot go around at half past midnight waving your piece of bonfire-wood around in an obscene manner asking people if they'd like to touch it. That's just gross
