Last week in class we watched the movies Born Into Brothels, which is about a woman's journey to help children living in the red light district get out and get a good education. This movie really goes into depth about what life is like for the children. Watching this movie will literally make you depressed. No child should mature as fast as these kids did. At the ages of 6ish-10ish, they already talk about life problems, how they have to support their family, how they have to be grown up just to survive. One kid said how there was "no hope" for him in his future. He's 10 years old. When I was 10, my greatest problem was trying to find what outfit goes with what doll. Zana, the woman helping them, went there to teach them about photography, and ended up trying to get them into good schools so they can make something out of themselves. This movie is so inspirational, it makes you want to go to India and hug them all because you feel so badly.
