Paper making at Taragram, Orchha, India Maurice & Colm managed to secure our packs onto the roof of a local bus, which we took, plus a Tempo to Orchha. We visited Taragram, a local recycling place that produces paper products from material offcuts. The tour showed us the process from beginning to end & we bought some products from the gift shop afterwards. Lunch was a buffet at the other hotel in town, which has a pool we can use for US$5- per day. Cool respite from the scorching sun - yay!
In the late afternoon, a local guide took us to the Raj Mahal, where we watched sunset from the balcony of an ancient palace. The shop also sells clothing, jewellery, essential oils & other knock knacks & all profits go to the school, which educates poor chilren from the area.

River view, Orchha, India hotel. Our group were the only diners & the hotel had provided three live musicians accompanied by a Eunuch dancer. A Eunuch is a western version of a transvestite, but I think in India it is sometimes more of a profession chosen by parents than a personal choice. Apparently they work the trains for money & if you don't pay, they flash their privates at you; something to look forward to I suppose (haha)...
