slept until 12 ish - had lunch on the rooftop; veg noodles. To Jaipur train station to sort tickets out to mumbai (relatively easy) and to get our refund( it was easier and more money than we had thought; Rs 450) Into Jaipur for a while- encountered loads of "baksheesh.... rickshaw...." Tried to find a bookshop to exchange our books, but useless- we only found one who would only give us Rs 40 for a book- shit!
Emailed prospective hotel in Mumbai and returned to hotel via tut tut (gave in!!) Had evening meal on roof top; sat with 2 itallian men who were good company( one had lived in london during the punk movement!) Had 1 and a half bottles of lager and went to bed at 23:00 hours

Up and went for brunch at 11:30! I Had egg bhurji ( scrambled eggs/ onions/ tomato(very yummy!)
Wrote an email and walked onto m1 road- usual hassle and went to the post office. First counter we saw was a "greetings card stand" and a bloke behind it who was actually smilling! Bought stamps and 2 greeting cards- wot no elbowing!!!?
emailed a couple of people in a cyber
its a long climb to the top of tiger fortits a long climb to the top of tiger fortits a long climb to the top of tiger fort

think we should be mountain goats, it would have been easier!
cafe.... if you can call it that! I had the usual "where are you from " and then the original" why do westerners not speak to indians"- I took great umbrage to this and informed him that on occasions people do not want to be sold something or be taken somewhere - have to say in Rhajastan we have come across few people that we can pass the time of day with who do not have some ulterior motive which involves money. Mmm becoming a bit tired of this constant boring theme... think I am rajasthaned out!
Went to tiger fort via a rickshaw- views were amazing- they were filming up there; could have done without 100 children wanting pens and baksheesh. The walk was a 2 km climb up a very steep zig zag incline- thankfully there was a cafe at the top- as true to form we had no fluids with us! (we'd have never got our duke of edinburghs!!)
Returned to our hotel and read for a while... then had a meal- managed to ignore a bloody puppet show! played cards and went to bed for 10:15!

up at around 10:00 as leave today to go to mumbai (somewhere we have not been before so exciting)
Had brunch- egg bhurji and toast; emailed and left hotel at 13:00 . Eventually found carriage (train very long) Bought some snacks and indian mags. Train carriage far different to the one previously (3 tier non air con) this was two tier and air con; quite alot of room and bedding and towels supplied! Chai men constantly coming through and snacks being offered constantly and the bonus was no sand!! Sat opposite a really nice bloke ( works for the government(train dept)) Had a meal on the train for Rs 85- I had chicken curry (very spicy) and Bri had a veggie one. Slept for approx 6 hours on our bunk beds- in at 07:00
