And the back of some random guy's head!
Thank god for small mercies. So we arrived into Jaipur and once we got through the usual rugby scrum of rickshaw drivers and settled into our hotel those small mercies revealed themselves. Firstly a running hot shower which after a week of washing from hot water in a bucket and secondly and the best of all, a colour tv with (wait for it)...... LIVE PREMIERSHIP football!! I watched Liverpool deservedly beat Everton through tears of pure joy! It was like seeing football for the first time again! But anyway, i didn't come to India for that.....

things we've done so far in Jaipur.... visited the city palace, which was actually quite nice, buildings were very good and it had a few very well decorated doorways such as The Peacock Gate. We also visited the hyped up Palace of the Winds, which turned out to be a bit of a disapointment as it was a bit shabby to be honest! Also has a bit of a stroll around the old city, which was good as it was sunday so the streets were quieter than usual! The next day we went a few miles out of Jaipur to visit Amber Fort, which
Elephant!Elephant!Elephant!

Just randomly walking down the side of the road!
unlike the other two we've seen was actually fort like as it was perched on top of a hill! It was pretty cool as well, there were monkeys of some sort hanging around and also elephants(!) being used to transport people up the fairly steep hill to the fort! Stood right next to one and they are pretty big dudes!

Apart from that sightseeing, haven't been doing all that much, trying to stay out of the sweltering heat - it's well in the 30's here, hot enough to melt your insides if your not careful!

hope everyone in England is doing all fine and dandy!
