Well i arrived at delhi airport and as i stepped off the plane it was like opening an oven! Was met by gorgeous looking guy dressed all in white who whisked me twisting and turning throught the madness that is the Indian traffic.Having been to cuba and morroco i thught i'd be prepared for most things.I was wrong! The driving here has to be experienced, imagine people, oxen, dogs ,cycles, mopeds ,tuk tuks, lorries and buses and of course cars!all travelling and doing what they like, when they like, going in all directions.Mix this image with the fact they all sound their horns to warn people they are coming, and you get the picture, but there are few accidents a i haven't seen any road rage.
I enjoyed an uneventful afternoon in the lovely hotel and waited fro katie and nats(who were delayed )so i had a couple ok cocktails as you do.
Eventually i arrived and a tearful and emotional embrace ensued...Oh well you know what us girlies arte like! hormones etc....Hotel was amazing and it was lovely for the girls to have a taste of luxury after everything! and a conspicious lack of cockroaches - which were abundant in goa i hear!
Girls took me to indian fast food place -Saravana Bhavan (not a single westner in there) there was a queue out the door, fast hot gorgeous food that costs peanuts! lovely!
After a huge spot of bother and a journey which in volved being shuttled back and forth by a tuk tuk from railway stations, tourist offices etc... we finally arranged to have a driver and drove to agra...we arrived sweaty and tired but the main thing was that we got there!!! We freshened up and immeadiately went and saw the Taj, it is simply breathtaking, lots of photo oppurtunities! lots of hagglers, beggars people selling things but not as busy as i'd anticipated as it was early evening. (A man selling whips told Katie she must have one to use on a friend.....) and then we splashed out on a sumptous and gorgeous supper at the nearby oberoi. (a la coltart) This morning katie and Nats said goddbye (bleary eyed as it was 5am) and we got a bus to Jaipur in a quaint compact bijoux hotel right now settling in and now going out to have a hearty meal!!! love to all! xxxxxxxxxx

Thanks to Katie and karen for taking care of our Nat. I cant wait to collect her on Friday. Hope you enjoy the remaining time in India and please feel free to come and sample the delights of the Wirral in the near future. We probably cant match the prices in your Indian fast food restaurant but we can definitley offer a few burnt burgers and an excellent view over the cityscape of Liverpool from our house suplemented with a few glasses of wine......
