Dialogue overheard outside the Golden Temple in Amritsar, the holiest temple and founding location of the Sikh religion:
"Oh my gosh, what a journey."
"Agreed. We sold the house, took a 47 hour train, ran out of money, begged on the streets, and ended up walking for another two days across India's burning hot desert."
"But it sure is worth it!"
"Definitely. As Sikhs, this is our holiest spot. And look at the Temple, shining with hundreds of kgs. of pure burnished gold, and surrounded by acres of marble, with thousands of pilgrims who - oh shit, WHITE PEOPLE! QUICK! GET A PHOTO!"
