As the protest march (see: Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi)was now north of Mathura on the AH1, we made a detour onto the Yamuna Expressway, a massive six-lane motorway opened just six months earlier. Driving the lonely highway
Just a few months ago we rode on that lonely highway. Coming from the U.S. where you'd never find a highway with so few automobiles it was odd. Looks like you are having a good time. Continue on.

The weird Yamuna Expressway
Thanks Dave. Yes, it was certainly weird - compared to every other road in India, this was ghostlike! We're now back home in good old Blighty and have been for a while, but there are still blogs to complete - another three or four at least! Watch this space...

A fantastic country...
Thanks Natalia. More experience? Well, yes - but I'm a lot older too! And, while I've been to many of the same places as you, it's clear that you saw things I haven't yet got around to - Mother Theresa's Sisters, bathing elephants, SISP and The Ark, to name but a few.
