Train Journey!
Shandy risks his life hanging from the train for a good photo!Morning came a little too soon and we were ready to go before 6. Another great taxi ride and we found ourselves outside a train station with our train waiting to take us down to goa. A relatively short 12 hour ride away. After Mark handed the ticket round the station we finally found the train and miraculously got the ticket back and then we boarded.
It would appear that train travel is the way to go. With full length beds, room service and great views we felt very comfortable and had a great journey. After only 20 hours in Mumbai it was a relief to see the open countryside again. Much better than the city! And with ollie finally able to use the toilets on board, (western style as well!) we were very happy. Arriving in goa that evening we found a shack near the beach and settled in for the night after a quick walk up the beach to see what it was all about.
