Alrighty then...so this blog has been long overdue but here it goes anyway
Left the British virgin islands on feb 10 and flew to New York for 4 days mostly because that was where we needed to get our indian visas from but also because it is somewhere we both wanted to experience.Had wicked fun in New York hitting the main attractions,caught a broadway show,went to a famous comedy club,ate good pizza and basically soaked up Manhattan.We also had 4 seasons in 4 days which made it real cool and what was even cooler was that 5 hours before our flight left for india we got our visas cause otherwise we would have been poked!
India was crazy,we arrived in Trivandrum airport at 3am and there must have been about 1000 smiling brown faces looking at us which was wierd since our plane only had about 100 people on it and it wasnt a busy airport.We got a cab and hoped we were going to where we were supposed to be.Somehow we ended up in the hotel at 5:30am.It was great to be there for Paul and Heidis wedding,especially with friends that we hadnt seen in ages.We did all the standard stuff one would do in india also such as...eat curry,beat shopkeepers down from their "best price",drank kingfisher,got a dodgy massage,avoid malaria and eat more curry.All in all we had an awesome 7 days in a place neither of us had really thought we would go to.The people are lovely,the weather was mint and the water was bottled!
Then we shot back to N.Z for 3 weeks to see friends,family,1 new baby and the existing ones etc
Pippi had a really nice relaxing holiday/shopping spree while Ryan worked his ass off to get the house up to spec.We were lucky enough to be invited to Steve and Nicoles wedding(off the boat) the night before we left to head back to Fort Lauderdale,Florida to rejoin the boat.
It was awesome to see everyone again and to those we didnt catch up with we are sorry but we will be back home again someday in the future so save it for then. Love to all youse fullas from Ryan and Pip xxoo
