Saturday 5th May 2007 - Monday 7th May 2007

So the guys were good to their word and came and picked us up on the saturday morning, it was an interesting ride the four of us on the back seat with luggage (the boot was not designed for 4 backpacks and the 2 weekend bags!) for the 3 hour or so journey, taking in the gorgeous green scenery after the concrete jungles we had been in. We pulled up to this hidden gem in the Western Ghats, visited only by Indian tourists and our jaws dropped, the way the cloud wrapped around the mountains, the peaks just jutting through. We spent an amazing few days, swimming in the pool, playing snooker, eating amazing home cooked food and getting a real insight into life in India for the lads
Such beauty comes at a price though and on the second night Gem and I finally fell asleep in the very early hours, to the buzz of flies/mosquitos/moths/beatles and god knows what else was in the bed with us!!!
