Lovely Leh
Mid to late August. The weather was great. Pleasantly hot in the lowlands but still damn cold up in the mountain passes. Colder at night too.

Thanks for taking me to Leh, Ladakh & Pangong Lake!!!
My sincerest thanks for transporting my spirits to real time Leh and Pangong Lake. Ladakh!!! As an Indian geographer (Bengali, resident of Kolkata) I have always been fascinated by the rugged Himalayas of our turbulent Northwestern border regions. In May 1979 I was in Kashmir on my honeymoon, but could not visit Leh due to sudden inclement weather. Since then, never could take another trip to that region for multifarious reasons. Viewing your pictures posted on the Internet, I have literally felt myself to be present in Leh and Pangong, savouring the picturesque locales' magnificence!! Thank you ,once again for this experience!!!

Leh
No problem Rupasree. I do hope you get a chance to visit the area again. Such an interesting place, especially for a geographer! Thanks for your kind comments. Anna
