Stroll on the Sabarmati Riverfront!!

If you are in the city of Ahmedabad, do not miss out on visiting Sabarmati Riverfront. It’s a promenade on both the banks of the River Sabarmati. A long stretch to stroll , a good place to spend time & Unwind self. The riverfront is perhaps the most divergent place in the city. I visited this place in August 2012.The view of riverfront, from the bridges over the river is well formed. It gives a panoramic view of the riverfront & the city as well. The riverfront gets illuminated post dusk and one can see the Photostat of the lights in the calm waters of the river. It is a peaceful & pleasing place.

Adding some information:

A good place to hang out.

One can get close to the nature in middle of the concrete city.

Boating activities have just started.

No food stalls around. ( Perhaps a good thing).

Good sitting arrangement.

There are security guards near the steps. ( They always have an eye on you)

Dirt in River front
My sister and her daughter visited ahmedabad to meet me. I took them to river front they were very happy to see the infrastructure and very much disappointed to see the dirt in river..really pathetic ..
