Hey all

Just on a journey from Mumbai to Udaipur, we couldn't find a direct route so now we're in Ahmedabad for an hour between trains. We had an 8 hour one from Mumbai and now we have a 6 or 7 one to Udaipur, so we'll arrive there very early morning, struggle through to day and see Udaipur, then we don't know completely what we're doing in Rajastan apart from that we have a train from Jaipur to Delhi on the 19th, and we want it to involve a camel trek. It's nowhere near long enough for what it meant to be one of India's states most worth travelling, but I guess you don't have time to see everything.

For the last 2 nights in Mumbai we firstly went out to Polly Esthers club, with a light up disco dance floor and lots of music we could sing along to before more modern stuff later in the night. It was a really good night out. The day after we saw Spiderman 3, then lost time somewhere before going down to Chowpatty beach in the evening. It's Mumbai's beach renound for it's carnival atmosphere, there were stalls everywhere selling things like candy floss and fairground rides. The ferris wheel and pirate ship were man operated, you'd see teenage boys jump off the ferris wheel and grab a carriage to get it spinning. We went on it, it was fun. We had a little walk down the beach but didn't even dip a toe in the sea/sewage works. Then we went to a Jazz club. Except that it didn't play jazz, it played modern stuff you'd hear in any U.K. club and it also had karoke. David, this guy we met at the Bollywood thing, did a solo. Me, him and Colin we going to do the Backstreet Boys together, but it got quite late and as we'd been out the night before everyone wanted to retire so we missed out. The girls also had a song lined up but it was left too late for them aswell. Not really much else to say, Katherine started feeling a bit ill on the train, I hope it's nothing serious, there couldn't possibly be a worse time for it.

I hope you're all well. Rob.
