So our last bus trip with our bikes actually went very smoothly, we had to get off the bus to cross the boarder, but that was easy enough as the guys working there thought we would cause too much carnage in the que so let us push in so it was a very efficient experience. We then booked into our really flash hotel (it has a pool) so that we can store our bikes until I come back and pick them up.

But Hong Kong has been fun, did the free Wednesday museum thing (it is rather embrassing when you can't actually do the puzzels designed for kids) checked out the markets, rode the tram and the star ferrys and generally hung out making the most of each others company - one day to go😊.

So this is the last of our blogs, I hope you have enjoyed reading them. Just in case anyone is wondering what we are up to, Katherine flys to Canada tomorrow for a month scuba diving with Kit (apparently 10 months holiday wasn't enough) before coming back to NZ and I'm back in NZ for a couple of weeks before going back to Hong Kong and trying to get a job. So if anyone has jobs for either of us it would be greatly appreiciated 😊

But highlights from the trip would have to be Everest, Annapurna with the family, food in china, being able to eat anything you want beacuse you will burn it off the next day, scenery in Yangshou, fissy pee water (aka beer) for NZ$0.95 for 650ml and lastly but by no means least all the cycle lanes.

Also thought that we would give you a brake down of the bits and pieces that broke (both us and our bikes):

Katherine: shoulder, knee, stomach (malaria pills didn't agree after 10 months), chest infection up Everest, bent shocks (meant the breaks didn't always work very well), half broken trailer (bent attachment things) and streched cables (gears often didn't change). But she would like to say that she bonded with her bike and they are all good.

Jane: broken mud guard and some bruised knees from climbing.

So all in all we survived and are both still in one piece (Katherine is being heald together by duct tape - thankfully its water proof). But its been a great trip and since you have all enjoyed every minute of this blog and nothing in this world is free we would love to get the donations (we are realtively poor now), so if you're interested in donating just email and i will pass on my account details 😊

Will see you all when we get home
Katherine and Jane

CONGRATULATIONS
Well done you two... What an amazing trip. It actually is quite mind boggling what you have done. From your blog entries, it all just seems like a lot of fun, and I am sure it was, but it was pretty intrepid also, and you should be bloody proud of yourselves... Here's wishing you all the very best in your next endeavours... sorry I don't have any job offers... !! Cheers and thanks for the blog Linley

Finally read the last
What a wonderful odyssey. It took me up until yesterday over lunch with you that you had made the last "Blog". Dear Jane, you have given me so much pleasure since you left with your dry but such witty "Blogs". Much, much love Alison
