The sweetest abandoned dogs. HK people buy them as cute puppies and release them on the island when the responsibilties prove to demanding. They form little packs and roam around...super sweet dogs too

I got a quick taste of an old HK fishing town on my way out.

They're all about...but not in China so much as here...not anymore. This is the kind of thing that was all over China before the Communist Party came to power, and which were so dashed to pieces from the 50s-late70s that many people in China wouldn't even realize that this was once a part of their cultural tradition. Many shops in China still have em, but as in Taiwan, they used to be on every corner. Not anymore. But HK is a different Chinese land

I thought this thing was dead, he was just slow. But I saw another snake on this day, a big, frightening poisonous snake that occupied the footpath just as quickly as I left it, and shot away like lightning when I shockingly returned. But the dude pictured here was still as honey.
