Survived the train ride. Now in Hong Kong. This is a serious shopping town. I have never seen so much designer stuff before. Seen at least 4 Prada stores and we have only walked around a few blocks. Expensive though compared with the rest of China.

Watched the 'symphony of lights' where neon on buildings surrounding the harbour flashes in time with crappy music. Looked like a 15yo Chinese geek made it (probably did).

Been to the gold fish and flower markets. Got dragged uo Victoria peak on the Peak tram - it broke down the next day??. Caught the star ferry a few times.

Today we went to Lantau Island which is Hong Kongs version of Stradbroke. It was lovely to be out of the crowds and noise. We hired bikes and rode around for a bit then caught busses to Tai O - a fishing village with LOTS of disgusting dried sea creatures for sale. Then up to see a very very big bronze buddha sitting on top of a hill. It has been a good day.

On the plane to Delhi tomorrow - a bit scary and a bit exciting.

Hope everyone is well.
