Happy Valley race course
Zero winners for team WillTory Hong Kong
After an overnight train, a ferry and taxi ride we made it to Tory's flat and more importantly a hot shower. NB the guy in the next cabin on the train was from Standish. We have now been here a month and it has finally got "cold" here - sorry UK but even 15 degrees feels cold here every now and again!
Sights and sounds of HK: horse racing at Happy Valley, various walks on Hong Kong Island (actually alot of green here!), cable car to the Big Budda, pink dolphines (we have no photo evidence of this thanks to Will forgetting to charge the camera - and Tory being slow to take the pictures, contensious), Ocean Park (Pandas and the raging river ride!).
We also spent a day in Macau, an island colony once owned by the Portugese. Some of the architecture is still from that period and their is still remnants of the Portugese i.e. custard tarts and port. We had a smashing day! We ate in a well known restuarant called Fernandos, Will was allowed sardines (Dad you would have loved it!). Then we went to the Venetian Hotel (an exact copy of
Tory and Kate at the races
Great pose from chap in background the one in Vegas) and played roulette, Tory won, Will didn't. In the evening we went to watch The House of Dancing Water, amazing stage and spectacle, disappointing/confusing as hell story line.
Guilty pleasures: defo the custard tarts in Macau.
