75th Floor!
The view from our apartment! Hello Everyone!!
Well we have been in Hong Kong for five days now and we're leaving to head to Singapore tomorrow morning! Had an amazing few days here and i would so recommend it to anyone! So here's mostly what crazy shenanigans we got up to.....
1) The flight!! Perhaps the most depressing part of my journey so far was after thinking we had been on the plane for ages we realised we were only 5 hours through our mammoth 12 hour flight! Not good! Though the flight was cool. Not too sure why our pleas to get moved into first class or even premium economy were ignored though! My mild flirtation with the stewardess for champagne was also a failure! Error! Highlight of the flight was the crazy chinese air stewardess esther who when asked by our favourite nervous flyer sarah 'was turbulence dangerous?' she replied, yes highly! Go virgin atlantic i say! Although shattered once arriving we still managed to force ourselves out to sample some pigeon! Yum!
2) Accommodation! Staying in Hong Kong is all a bit fabulous! We're staying on the 75th floor of a huge residential tower block that feels much more like
Repulse Bay!
The aptly named beach where we topped up our tans! a hotel! Not sure how the thai hostels are gonna appeal after this!
3) Days out! Well day one we went to the peak and took in the views of Hong Kong! In the evening we saw the light show and ate loadsa duck! Very rock and roll! On friday we visited Hong Kong Disneyland, the 5th most magical place on earth! After all the disneys that are way better! It was cool though there were a lack of rides going on! And the castle was really small! On saturday we went to the beach! Was feeling sun deprived though am not sure bout this whole natural sun lark! Then we headed to to the Tom Wai Sin Temple! Today we had a bit of a late start due to our saturday nite outing! Though after forcing ourselves from our beds to went to see a huge buddha and buddhist monastery before seeing Tai Po, a traditional chinese fishing vilage with houses on stilts!
4) Nights out! Well on friday night we partook in some crazy karaoke fun! We got our own private room though the whole thing did resemble some kind of brothel! Was very fun though
Disney!
Sleeping Beauty's Miniature Castle! my sore throat meant my magical voice wasn't able to dazzle as usual. Oh and sarah was rubbish! Shocker! Last night we ventured into downtown hongkong and took in some cheeky drinkies! Was very cool and we were dancing in a club called apartment til half 3 before leaving, at which point all sarah would talk about was cheese and doing something odd with a pen! Ask her! Today sarah felt worse for wear and the bumpy bus journeys we were on didn't do the poor girl much good! Bless! Some things never change!
Got a flight to Singapore tomorrow!
Hope you are all well! Much love!!
