There was a ten minute walk from the bus stop but it was worth it
I think my camera nearly fried today. Every step I took I was trying to take a good shot. It was incredible. There are no other words for these life size figures. Every single one of them is unique, sculptured after a soldier in the Emperor's army. They've only uncovered the tip of army, there are reckoned to be thousands more, still all in formation under the farmland.

They reckon it will take years to uncover. There was a peasant uprising and the Warriors were put to torch over 2000 years ago, breaking them into pieces. It takes one archeologist 3 months to put one figure with all of its proper parts back together.

The bus there was remarkably cheap - 1.40 for a return ticket and the trip took an hour.
The enterance was boarding on home prices at 9

I had a fantastic experience of a washer woman. We met her in the city, she was on her bike, her hair was in curlers. She collected our clothes and cycled off. The clothes were delivered to us this morning, all fresh. Mine only cost 3.30 so I was really pleased.

Incredible
I mean only £1.40 return for a bus trip that takes an hour each way... :-) I am, of course, refering to the terracota warriors. How wonderful to have been able to see them, particularly the chariots. Partner and little sister are also reading with fascination. xxxxxx
