Li River Guilin

Pagoda Hill Some minutes down from Elephant Hill on its west bank is the small hill with the pagoda. Hexagonal pagoda is named Longevity Buddha Pagoda is dating from Ming Dynasty (from 1368 to 1644). Daxu Town Settled at the northern bank of the Li River, ancient town has the antique style from
Ming Dynasty (1368 to 1644). The flagging street, with the old residences, stalls and shops, runs 2km along the bank of the river through this town. Some preserved residences hide behind this street door might give you complete surprises while you explore more in the shop. All these are the quarters for the businessmen in past times. So, have one try on different dumping snacks on stalls and peddle cars all along this street. Some may surprise you with the taste and the cheap rate. The people in this town are amazing and very kind to the tourists. More to the south, you will see there is the single arched bridge at a town called Longevity Bridge. The town is actually the sight off the beaten track. And opposite this town on the other side of the river, the millstone types of rock with running waters makes the Grinding Grain scene.

Guilin attractions in from 9am in morning till 11am and take from four to six hours that depends on a speed of the current. Boats will hold more than 80 people and cater to the tourist groups. Yangdi and Xingping It is the most gorgeous part of Li River, however doing the cruise on this part is difficult as its local authorities keep the section only for the bigger boats from the Guilin. Xingping & Upstream There are a lot of small boats that are operating out of the Xingping and they may take you at upstream towards nine horse fresco hill. The cruise are fine however they miss out on a few of its best part as they don’t go to Yangdi
Xingping & Downstream Such cruises aren’t very spectacular when you go upstream as Karst peaks get very less
frequent. The cruise is fine if you have money and do not wish to come back at Yangshuo on the road
Yangshuo and Fuli and Liugong The cruise is actually nice as it has amazing scenery however without the loads of tourists & the boats. The cruise is very tricky to arrange however not very hard.
