Asian Adventure

Bonnie and I have had many travel adventures over the past years but this one, I believe, will be the most adventurous even though we are travelling with a group on a conducted tour. We chose Sinorama, a travel company out of Toronto, that specializes in Asian tours. Since booking the trip, we have been pleased with all contacts with the company and hope our satisfaction continues until the end of the trip.

We leave from Toronto on Sunday, October 15 at 3 PM on Air Canada and arrive in Beijing at 4 PM. The return flight leaves Shanghai at 6:15 PM and arrives back in Toronto at 7:45 PM. We hope there are no delays and the flights are uneventful.

Our itinerary is as follows:

Oct. 16-Oct. 19 we are in Beijing staying at Beijing West International Trade Hotel

Oct. 19 we fly in the late afternoon to Xi'an staying at Holiday Inn Xi'an Big Goose Pagoda Hotel for 2 nights

Oct.21 we fly from Xi'an to Wuhan where we stay for 1 night at the Howard Johnson Pearl Plaza Hotel

Oct 22 we have a city tour of Jingzhou, located on the Yangtze River and board our cruise ship, Gold 3, for 4 nights.

Oct.26 we disembark at Chongqing and visit the Panda Zoo. We stay 1 night at Radisson Blu Hotel in Chongqing

Oct. 27 we fly to Shanghai for 2 nights at Crowne Plaza Shanghai Pudong

Oct. 29 we fly home!!

We hope we can update this blog as we travel with pictures and details but not sure we will have Internet service everywhere we go.
