Wong Tai Sin
Winnie's relatives took us there. Really quiet and spiritual place. The architecture is fantastic. We went during a quiet period, so I imagine it to be very busy during festivals like Chinese New Year. In the temple, there are waterways in which live turtles and fish.

Ngong Ping 360 / Lantau Island
Ngong Ping 360 is quite impressive. A 20 minute cable car ride that takes you to the top of Lantau Island where the big statue of Buddha lives. Unfortunately, we didn't pick the best day to go. It was raining and the trip to Lantau Island was cold, windy and damn scary with the cable car shaking! Visibility was zero. All we could see was white around us. It was as if we were floating on air!

Once we got to Lantau Island, it wasn't much better...fog everywhere!! We could not really see much. For the photos. do not adjust the monitor...it's just the fog. I think it's the coldest I've ever been in Hong Kong. The vegetarian lunch was nice though.
