The West Lake

This is one of China's most beautiful lakes. Located near our campus in Hangzhou, it is a very popular place to go to. We were told that the best time to view the West Lake is right after a rainstorm, since the sky will be clearer and the amount of tourism will be lower. The West Lake area is actually comprised of many lakes, so there is no definite "West Lake." There were several times that we visited the West Lake, so the pictures attached are from several different days. There are several pagodas around the West Lake, which we have not yet toured.
