The overnight train from Chengdu to Xichang in southern Sichuan was again a very easy and comfortable 9 hour trip, and I highly recommend using the trains for long trips. I booked a 2nd class sleeper for $24 and had about 7 hours sleep before arriving in Xichang at 7 am. Hey,
Nice trip. Weird but seems you are doing what I did a month ago, except on two wheels and not four. Tough roads from Jyuzhaigou to Luguhu right?

Tough roads especially for cyclists
Yeah it would have been very difficult on a bicycle and I take my hat off to you guys. Interesting scenery though.I don't think I have seen too much flat land in China yet. Unfortunately I took the overnight train from Chengdu to Xichang so I didn't get to see the countryside between those cities.
