Hi All,

I can't believe we've made it. It seems like we've been planning this trip for ages. The trip from Changsha to

Kashgar went okay but it did seem to be a long day but much better than the 4-5 days it would take on a train.

Got here at around 10 o'clock last night. Xinjiang has an oddity with it's time. It is really in another time zone, two hours behind, but all of China runs on Beijing time. Last night it was still light until nearly 11 o'clock. This morning the city didn't start to wake up until around 8 o'clock.

So today , with it being Sunday, we went to the Mal Bazarr, animal market, which was quite a way out of the city, and the Sunday bazzar, in the city centre. At the animal bazaars there were some scary bulls and we loved the sheep with the big bums! Mum you'd have loved the moo-cows!!!!

It really does feel like we are in another country here. Most of the women wear veils and some wear gauzes to cover their faces and most of the men either wear muslim skull caps or flat caps.

Tomorrow I think we may visit a tomb outside the city then on Tuesday we're off into the desert.

Enjoy the photos.

Jah Bless
