Mha-Po to-fu

It was said invented by a "freckle faced woman" which is Mha=po in Chinese. It's actually fried spicy tofu with pork souce.

it's a mixture of beef slices, cow stomach slices(that thing with crease)and some other animal internal organs with hot pepper, black chili and peanuts. Extreme spicy but delicious.

A simplified hot pot

All food are stringed on those thin bamboo sticks and displayed on table, customers just grab what they need and cook by themselves in that pot with spicy soup in. While checking out waiter just count sticks and charge ppl by numbers of sticks. Usually 0.5 yuen per stick.

General Chung-fei's Beef

It's a legendary heroe still honored by natives. He was said a dark face big guy so this sort of dark color beef slices named as this general's name. They have an interesting salesman standing in front of the shop--an artificial General Chung-fei.

Boiled rabit's head

A popular snack shop in Doujiangyan--a small town nearby chengdu. They basically sell rabits with extreme spicy flavor, rabit's heads are the most welcomed beer campanions. This shop was taken down in the earthquake last year.

The gold statue of Bodhisattva Puxian

It's on the top of Eh-mei mountain, a real holly site for all Buddhists all over China. The altitude here is around 3100M (almost 10'000 feet)
