Shanghai Welcomes Chengdu Dinner
2 girls from Chengdu program, Sean, Me, Josh So yesterday I decided to eat lunch by myself so I could learn how to handle restaurant situations. I decided to go to Aijisen Ramen because A. It's clean, B. It's familiar, and C. I wanted a lot of food to satisfy my hunger. If I picked a random restaurant on the street I could end up eating really shitty food and possibly something that I don't even want or would not want to eat. I did not have any problems getting a table and no one stared at me since I am Chinese. I decided to go to RT mart afterwards to get some hangers and the funniest thing I saw was a stand that was giving out sample Kahula shots :-O. I had my Tai-Chi class that afternoon and guess what...I am the only male in the class...that has never happened to me before. My teacher does not speak a word of English so one of the girls has to translate for us. After teaching us some moves, she commented each of us and told me that this is a good class to pick up girls and my moves are very calm.
That night we had a welcome
dinner for the Chengdu students visiting Shanghai. Dinner was great, but we had to rush in order to make it to the Shanghai acrobatic show on time. I saw the same exact show 3 years ago, but it was still very impressive to me. Unfortunately I could not tell if anything was new. The show ended with a motocycle stunt in a cage ball and there was an opportunity to take a picture with the people who did the act. Some USAC students including myself got a picture with them, but then we were charged at the exit to pay 100 kuai. I was fucking pissed because it cost about 15 US dollars to take a picture using my own digital camera. ^______^
After we left the Shanghai Acrobatic show, most of the USACers decided to go to a club called M2 since they had a special where you can get unlimited drinks for 100 kuai (15 US dollars). We also tagged along with a group from Australia (they had some hot girls) staying in the College of International Exchange. When I first walked into the club my first words were HOLY SHIT. The DJ played a lot of
music that I listen to at home, there were a lot of lights, fog, and HOT PERFECT 10 ASIAN GIRLS walking in every minute (there must be something in the water here, because I’ve never seen such an occurrence in the states). To keep this professional, all I’m going to say is that it was a lot of fun. No party I’ve ever been to can compete with that. I can truthfully say that I had a good time.
Today I had my Chinese Business Phenomenon class which was WAY TOO LONG (1-3:50pm). At least we got a 25 minute break :-P. My teacher has a little bit of a heavy accent and he just stands in the front and talks. It was really boring and most people were either hung over or falling asleep.
