The cake from the village bakery
One of our Oz teachers started life as a chef so volunteered to cook us our Christmas Day lunch.

17 of us sat down to a feast of vegetable soup, roast lamb, beef, chicken and roast vegetables, cauliflower cheese and green veges, with desert being two kinds of cakes as well as jelly and trifle. All cooked in one tiny little oven and two microwaves and one hot plate.

Lots of wine, snacks, secret santa and Christmas decorations completed one of the most wonderful days, with all of us enjoying the day with family and friends.

Most of the food was brought from the local market area, you have to not think about how the animals were killed, so its really fresh, the veges just picked and local, and the cake handmade and decorated all with an icing bag and lots of skill.
