Here are some photos from different parts of Shanghai. We visited the Pearl Tower, the Buddhist Temple, a couple of gardens, and had dinner with a few NC State alumni who now live in China. We then toured the World Expo; a giant world's fair in which many countries show off their new technologies and culture.

This form of currency, like several other ancient currencies, could be used as a tool before being exchanged for other goods. This allowed for the currency to be made out of cheaper metals, since its value derived from its actual worth as a working object.
