This morning, we went back to the 7-Colour Flower E. S. for different cultural activities such as table tennis, Kung Fu, Tea ceremony, and yo-yo activities. We had great fun!

After having a tasty lunch we arrived at the circus town to participate in the closing ceremony. All 800 summer camp students from all over the world were there. We went in a dome-shaped building that was very big. I got a good view of the stage. After the closing ceremony, there were two parts for the circus act, the first part was performed by other students, and it was something like a talent show. The first part was very interesting; there were many talented performers and they performed acts such as: martial arts, playing instruments, singing and etc. The first part was okay, though it wasn’t really that interesting. To be honest, I was really disappointed when I thought that the circus was going to be performed by kids. I liked the martial arts the best; the performer was really good and you could tell that she practiced a lot.

After the first part, we had a short break and then the actual circus performance began. After seeing the performance I realized that I was sweating a lot. The stunts that were performed are so risky that I didn’t think it was actually possible. There were a lot of different acts. My favourite act was where there was one person holding a 7 meter-long pole then another person climbed that pole and balanced on it while someone from the ground tossed him another 7 meter-long pole with a chair on the end. Then there was a giant see-saw directly across it that was around 5 meters high. There was a female standing on the lower side of the see-saw and there were two males on a stand that was beside the raised side of the see-saw. Then the two men jumped off the stand and on to the raised side of the see-saw sending the woman flying towards the chair on the pole. With good accuracy, a lot of practice and a bit of luck, the woman was able to land on the chair successfully. There were a lot of good acts and daring stunts and I think that everyone loved it and had a great time. - Jefferey Liu

Dong Fang Ming Zhu Television Tower (东方明珠电视塔) stands proudly in the bustling city of Shanghai. At the roof of the tower, a revolving buffet style restaurant welcomes us for our last dinner in Shanghai. There were many different varieties of delicious foods and delicacies ranging from Thai soups to escargot; if only the sky was clearer that day so we can enjoy the breathtaking view that we would have as we ate. Regardless, it was a very enjoyable experience. - Tony Liu
