I'd been waiting for this day for months, one of the main highlights of China, seeing the Terracotta Warriors. It really was worth the wait. . It all began in 1974 when farmers were digging a well and found the first piece of terracotta. There were 3 different pits of excavated warriors. There are approximately 6000 warriors all facing East, in battle formation, towards the Emporer Qin's tomb, which is 2000 years old. All warriors are ranked and dressed accordingly. Their faces, armory amd weapons all vary too. Many warriors are not yet excavated, those seen today have been restored piece by piece. Quite amazing!
