We heard that another Green Tea restaurant was opening up in the city centre, so the other day we went to investigate, but unfortunately the builders were still onsite. However, having got excited about sampling their home-made bread, which we didn't have room for last time, we decided to carry on to the one on Lonjing road. It was worth it, the bread was amazing! It's a whole loaf with the top layer toasted slightly with sugar and butter. The inside is then cut into cubes with the ice cream melting on top, and you simply pick the cubes out with a little wooden stick. There is no concept of starter-main-dessert here so I happily picked my way through it whilst simultaneously tucking into some spicy pork and cabbage. Mmmmmmm!
