Day 47 2/6/2009... Yellow Mountain, Huang Shan

After deciding to use just one day for this trip there was the option of either the 6am or 9am bus from the hostel to the coach station on the mountain. The only other option was to get a bus from Tunxi coach station to the mountain which had no guarenteed leaving time, just whenever the bus fills up with enough people.
The last bus home to Tunxi from the mountain was at 5pm so the 6am option seemed the most practical. This morning the heavens opened and didnt stop from the time we left until we got to the mountain. After an hour in waterproofs and drenched feet we'd had enough despite seeing some spectacular views and decide to go down. My advice is check the forecasts when planning this trip! Today was expensive with the cable cart costing 80yuan on the way up and 80yuan again on the way down plus a 115yuan entrance fee, although this was half the normal price as a student rate.
When we got to the bottom we stumbled upon a 4d cinema which cost 30yuan and decided to go in to add to the shortened
day. The film was short but interesting as Id never experienced 4d before.
