The Hainan Journey/ Voyage

Woke up to our first day of rain in Yanshuo, fortunately we were leaving today. After breakfast we finished packing up and began our travels to Hainan! Our bus to Guilin was stopping constantly trying to gather any stragglers to bump their wage for the day I guess! It ended up arriving in Guilin far later than we anticipated but we were lucky that another was running in an hour. After some corn on the cob and spicy sausage we were loading onto the bus. No room in luggage section so all bags were rammed in the aisle, clearly not designed for walking on. We had picked a sleeper bus just to sample but the bed was tiny, nowhere near enough room to lie out fully, although Laura was really snug.
As we set off it was closing into the end of the day so the sun was setting and with the scenery it really was beautiful. With regular stops to use the toilet(as the bus had none) it wasnt too bad. We had a food break about 10:30 at night which we only worked out as people began to eat, all Laura and I heard was the driven shout something very fast which we just thought meant another toilet break.
Finally we arrived at the coast at around 3am and jumped off the bus for security checks. Then the bus was loaded onto a ferry. The ferry trip was funny as we had some subtitled commical kung fu film, very funny. Around 5:30am we were in Hainan, more specifically, Haikou. We were supposed to depart here but realised our bus was going to Sanya so we stayed on and got a sneaky free trip to the south coast.
After a night of watching cockroaches and Laura snore I was shattered, so with Laura awake and the cockroaches napping I had an hours sleep. As we came close to 'Sunny Sanya' so did Sanya live to its name and the sun was beaming glorious sunshine. 25 hours and we were there!!
