Ah, Mattel, one of the most well known toy companies in America. In fact, I myself own a lot of toys from one of their most popular toy line. Hot Wheels, one of the most well know brand of toy cars in the United States. However, I have learned that they use sweatshops in China to build these small cars. In fact, they even use children to create these toys. That is wrong, that is absolutely wrong and shouldn't be done. These are children, they're supposed to be in school and learn, not work in a sweatshop where there's nothing more to do than sit in a chair for 16 hours straight and paint a toy car. Girls like Li Mei, who work for a meager pay, who have to work themselves to death like Lin Chumei. They live in a dormitory, in rooms that are 12 by 23 feet. That absolutely tiny compared to most rooms in houses in America. So the next time your buy one of those Barbie dolls or Hot Wheels cars, think about the suffering that those girls go through to make your toys.
