This is the nicest hotel - the Holiday Inn Shifu. Beijing Holiday Inn Downtown was quite nice but Crowne Plaza Zhengzhou was really aging. Every time the boys were face down in the carpet (which oddly seemed to be often) I just cringed, but here everything is nice and new. The photos I have attached don't do it justice but the room is seriously huge (I don't remember what I booked, don't think it is a suite but a deluxe executive for families soon to visit), even with two cribs, and we also have a small hallway in the room. I know the White Swan is the traditional hotel for adoptive families, but we had heard from some that the rooms are getting old, and we just wanted something really comfortable for the last part of our time here and the prices seemed comparable. The room includes breakfast and free in room internet and executive privileges which means that there is a private lounge on the 12th floor with snacks all day and daily cocktail hour. And you can have your breakfast up there, but Bao really likes the restaurant on the 4th floor as they have a fish and rock

water garden running through it. And the staff watches the babies while you get your food! There is also a restaurant on the first floor with private rooms where staff walks around with elegant tea carts, taking dim sum (dumpling) orders from patrons. The hotel is in a very old part of Guangzhou. Our guide for this part of our trip, Jason (Bao calls him "New George") recommended two hundred year old restaurants that are close by. Many of our appointments leave from White Swan but we just hop a 5 minute taxi and we are there. Allen went there today to take Jin to his medical appointment and he said that there is still a lot of construction on Shamian Island because of the upcoming ASEAN sports games. Also, the medical doctor reviewed Jin's vaccination chart and is recommending 6 shots for Jin tomorrow. Yikes!

When are you coming home?
Hi, Seems like Bao and Jin are having too much fun traveling and living the high life in fancy rooms. Are you going to be able to get them to come home anytime soon? I hope Bao's eye is doing well and other than the trip to the Doc for shots, I hope you don't have to make any other doctors visits anytime soon. Your boys look very happy together. Love, Lisa
