We arrived in Beijing on the high speed train from Qingdao on August 13. We navigated the metro system easily enough to Dongzhimen station, which was closest to our hotel, the Holiday Inn Express Beijing Dongzhimen. Although it looks relatively close on a map, the walk from the station to our hotel was around 15 minutes. I found the subway stations in Beijing to be pretty far apart from each other...
