Monday and Sunny in Beijing

Once again the conference began at 8:00 in the morning with the first papers of the day. The schedule has been very full. I am skipping out on a paper downstairs in order to write a few e-mails. There are still four more papers to go before the end at approximately 6:30 which will likely mean 7:00. After that is the banquet which again will likely be the same as the welcoming banquet. Tomorrow morning is a group trip to the Capital Museum to look at a newly opened art show. They have a wonderful collection of Himalayan style metal sculpture.

In the afternoon I need to check out of this hotel and move to another which is closer to the 2nd conference. Where that is - I don't know. This other conference will be very different from the current conference. It is more religious in nature as well as more dealer/collector oriented. A good friend has flown in from India for the 2nd conference. The accommodations here have been pretty good so we will have to see how they are for the next event.
